Sustainability

Vietnam SuperPort™ aims to become Southeast Asia’s first net-zero multimodal logistics hub by 2040, setting a new standard for green and efficient supply chains through three strategic pillars:

Powering Smarter, Greener Supply Chains

Sustainability and ESG

Aligning with Vietnam’s target to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 43.5% by 2040 through renewable energy, electric fleets, and low-carbon transport modes like rail and inland waterways. Remaining emissions are offset via certified renewable energy credits, with progress tracked through ESG reporting.

Sustainability is at the heart of Vietnam Superport™’s mission. The logistics hub is dedicated to pioneering a new standard for eco-friendly operations, with a vision to become the first net-zero multimodal logistics port in Southeast Asia by 2040.

A Path to a Greener Tomorrow:

  • Integrated Multimodal Transport: Vietnam Superport™’s strategic location allows for the significant reduction of the environmental impact of long-haul transport. This unique position enables the shifting of freight from carbon-intensive road trucking to more sustainable options, such as inland waterways and the upcoming Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway. This multimodal approach significantly reduces fuel consumption and emissions across the supply chain by optimizing transport routes.
  • Green Infrastructure & Operations: By co-locating logistics functions, routes and operations are optimized, reducing unnecessary movement and fuel use. A commitment has been made to transitioning the fleet to electric vehicles by 2030, a key step in the decarbonization roadmap.
  • Strategic Partnerships for a Sustainable Future: The commitment to sustainability is strengthened by collaborations with global leaders. Vietnam Superport™ is working with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to develop green infrastructure financing models and ensure operations meet the highest international environmental standards. These partnerships support the long-term vision of a resilient and green logistics ecosystem.
  • A Culture of Environmental Stewardship: Beyond infrastructure, the sustainability drive is a core part of the corporate culture. A skilled workforce is being built that is trained in green logistics practices, from optimizing cargo loads to implementing waste reduction programs.

As a trusted regional partner, Vietnam Superport™ delivers the infrastructure and services needed to build an efficient, resilient, and environmentally responsible supply chain, aligned with the sustainability goals of global customers.
